Jim Squire

Clinical Lead, Registered Psychotherapist

When the past continues to shape the present, it can feel exhausting. Trauma, difficult relationships, and painful life experiences can leave lasting emotional patterns that affect how we think, feel, and relate to others. Therapy provides a space to understand those patterns, develop compassion for yourself, and begin creating healthier ways of living and connecting.

Jim Squire is a Registered Psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience helping individuals and couples work through emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and the lasting impact of past experiences.

Jim’s approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs within a safe, trusting relationship. He works to create an environment where clients feel understood, respected, and comfortable exploring the experiences that have shaped their lives. Clients often appreciate his ability to listen deeply, understand their perspective, and help them make sense of challenges that may feel overwhelming.

His work is particularly focused on trauma, relationship issues, and the patterns that often develop from early life experiences. Using approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices, Jim helps clients increase self-awareness, develop emotional resilience, and move toward healthier patterns in their lives and relationships.

Jim’s professional training includes a Master of Divinity specializing in Clinical Counselling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Tyndale University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Laurentian University, and a specialized Addiction Diploma from McMaster University. He is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

Over the years, Jim has worked with a number of respected organizations including The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Toronto East General Hospital, Transition House, Peoples Church, and The Salvation Army.

Jim is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), and the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).

Anna Leppinen Registered Psychotherapist

Many people begin therapy because they want to better understand themselves and live more authentically. Anna’s role as a therapist is to help create the conditions where that kind of self-discovery can take place.

Anna believes meaningful change begins in a relationship built on trust, safety, and mutual respect. Finding the right therapeutic fit is an important part of the process, and she works to create a space where clients feel comfortable speaking openly and exploring the patterns that shape their lives.

Anna is a Registered Psychotherapist with three years of clinical experience supporting individuals as they navigate emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and brings a compassionate, thoughtful approach to her work with clients.

She is proficient in the Gottman Method for couples therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and her work is trauma-informed, helping clients understand how past experiences can shape present emotions, behaviours, and relationship patterns.

Anna has a particular interest in supporting women’s issues, including identity, relationships, self-worth, life transitions, and the impact of past experiences on emotional well-being.

Anna approaches therapy as a collaborative process. She works alongside clients to deepen self-awareness, develop compassion for themselves, and move through difficult patterns toward meaningful and lasting change. While she offers guidance and perspective, her goal is to empower clients to remain in the driver’s seat of their own lives.
