I’m Jim Squire, proud owner of Jim Squire Psychotherapy.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
My journey to acquire the skills to help others started with my own life crisis many years ago and through that transition, I discovered meaningfulness that had previously eluded me. With a new passion for life, I sought to embrace my true calling to help others in their life journey. I have been a therapist since 2005, and in the Spring of 2016, I began my own practice.
At Jim Squire Psychotherapy, my primary focus is to create a safe space where people can share their story, and for people to feel safe, they must feel accepted and valued. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of my clients’ journey to something better, to walk beside them while they grow, heal, and create the life they deserve. I believe that personal change is possible and through my work, I try to help my clients embrace this change.
I attribute much of my success to the approaches I use - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). CBT and EFT are highly effective, and people see results which encourages them to see their treatment through.
Irrespective of the number of clients I have, whenever I see a client believing in themselves for the first time, it gives me immense joy and satisfaction.
When I am not at work, I love spending time with the kids and being active outdoors.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
